Dear Counsel,

Hoping this message finds you, your families, friends and staff doing well.

One of the most important things we can do right now for our practice, is to be in communication with our clients. When our clients feel cared for our relationships grow and thrive together.

With that, I would like to relate a little story to you.

A number of years ago, when I was an Islander’s season ticket holder, there was an NHL lockout. And for hockey fans like myself, this was a real bummer! But something really great happened during that time that really solidified my relationship with the organization.

One afternoon, the phone rang and my office manager answered and kept giggling. I asked her what’s so funny? To which she replied, “the Coach of the Islanders is on the phone and wants to talk to you.” I shook my head in disbelief but picked up the call and discovered that  yes indeed, it was Steve Sterling, the coach of the Islanders. Steve called to say hi, to personally thank me for my support of the team and wanted to know how I was doing. That was a completely unexpected and pleasant surprise.

That really made my day!

So the quick takeaway from this story is that thoughtful communications with our clients matter.

That said, Michael Mogill, Esq and the good people at Crisp Video, are putting on a great program tomorrow that I believe is relevant and helpful for everyone.

Tomorrow, join Crispvideo.com at 3:00 PM ET on Thursday, April 23 for “Generating Positive PR During Moments of Crisis” where Cameron will detail tactical strategies to market your firm during COVID-19 and beyond.
