What locations do we make appearances?
Per Diem Services Inc. assigns attorneys for appearances throughout New York State and New Jersey.
Do we appear in Federal Court?
Yes, we regularly appear in Federal Court and will file a notice of appearance as the court requires. Please provide us with three days’ notice.
How do I place an order?
Please go to our hire us page to submit an appearance order.
How do I confirm an order?
After an order has been submitted and a tracking number is provided, an automated email is also sent to the email address provided to us. Please also call our office to confirm your order with the tracking number provided.
What level of experience do the appearing attorneys have?
Most of our screened and approved counsel have a minimum of 15 years of litigation experience.
How do I provide documents and directives for counsel?
Our order form provides a documents and memo section where all directives can be submitted and documents may be uploaded. Please be certain to provide a full memorandum outlining all pending litigation issues and settlement authority with your order.
Do assigned attorneys contact my office to review upcoming matters?
After we review your appearance directives and documents, we may contact your office for further clarification if needed. If any issue arises at court, we may contact your office for further directives.
What happens if my appearance does not conclude during the morning session and counsel is ordered to return for the afternoon session?
Our counsel will generally appear for both morning and afternoon if necessary. If our counsel is conflicted for an additional court session, we will attempt to hire a second counsel to appear for the second session.
May I just have a call to provide instructions for counsel without providing a memo?
We require all directives to be in writing so that we have a memorialized written record from your office.
Is there an additional charge if my appearance goes beyond two hours?
Yes, there are additional charges as posted on our order page. If an appearance also requires us to appear both for the morning and afternoon court session, a double fee will be charged.
When are appearance reports provided?
Most appearance reports are emailed within one business day. Please feel free to provide multiple email addresses with your order submission.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express only.
Are there cancellation policies?
Cancellation policies are posted within the order form. Please read them and if you agree to be bound, kindly click off the boxes that acknowledge your agreement and complete your order.
If you have clicked off these boxes regarding our policies and submitted your order, it will mark your agreement to same.
How do I get original documents to your office?
If there are original documents that must be brought to court, we will provide an address where documents can be sent via Federal Express. Please provide three days notice for these requests.
Can same day orders for appearances or depositions be handled?
Please call our office before ordering. Generally, and in most cases, a same day order can be accommodated.
Can you provide me with a price quote for an appearance?
Yes, we can provide a rate quote after we have verified the scope of the appearance and the preparation required. Please note that if we discover that the scope of work may exceed what was initially disclosed, we will contact your office to discuss adjustments.
How much notice is recommended for upstate appearances?
We request three days notice for upstate appearances.
Are there additional charges for late or same day orders?
Yes, there are additional charges for these types of orders and are posted on the rate schedule.
